I drive a 2006 Nissan Maxima (265hp) and a 2005 Acura RL(300hp). I know the Civic SI has pretty good performance, but it seems lately there are a million little riced out honda civics around challenging cars well above their capacities. Who put the idea into Civic-owners heads that they can beat cars with 250+ HP? They drive a Civic, not a race car.
The reason the civic is so popular is becuse its the most easiest car to tune up and there very cheap. there are more after market parts for the civic than any other car out there. and so many people have watched to much of fast and furious that they get there mind thinking its the best car out there yet you can take a supra or a skyline and put some minor parts in and get twice the horsepower but they both cost alot more.
just watch the fast and furious... but just like you i think they are more like the slow and sluggish... all joking aside there are civics out there that can hang with corvettes and 500+ hp cars... just not alot ...
what tha other dude said tha movies then tenagers little older then my age thought it was crazy cool so they bought them selves a crappy civic and think they that now they have a civic they are "cool"
Driving a small car like a civic, protege, or corolla feels fast because they are small, light, and loud cars. They feel fast, but they are really not fast at all.
Exactly....I hate rice burners.....girls love a muscle car.......5.7L 350......yep.....honda sucks.They can't afford a real car so they have to get a cheapo.
9crx0 probably said the stupidest thing ever. "I am in the import scene""My friends import will beat your car""drive your ricer off a cliff"Nice contradictions dude. The plain and simple truth is that more HP makes things go faster, but all other things being equal, the RWD car always wins vs FWD.To answer the question: they think their cars are fast because they are gullible, and other stupid people told them Civics are fast.
