...it? I drove it and runs good. My uncle was saying cars that age considering its a 5 spd wont last me more than 2 months. He was saying stuff about fuel pumps and calibers but I dont know. I personally drove it for like an hour and there no problems but never opened the hood or nothing like that. It has a mp3/cd player and all that, power windows, lock and everthing. But Imma buying depending on what y'all think so please give some good answers thx.

It runs well...for now. Its a 14 year old car. And 300K sounds about right for such a car. Hondas are reliable cars but i think this will be a hell of a test. If I were you, I wouldn't buy. Think it over.

While $350 certainly sounds cheap, you should calculate what the total cost of owning a car entails. By the time you finish with plates and insurance, you might well be doubling the $350. That makes it seem sort of silly to spend only 1/3 on the CAR and that's every year.































On the other hand, it is a calculation and it's likely to be pretty cheap transportation for as long as it lasts. I'd suggest taking it to a mechanic but with the philosophy enunciated above, it's probably not worth spending $50-100 to find out it's an old car.































Things that are likely to cost you money right away are easy to determine: tires, clutch ( I gather it's a stick ), radio ( somehow I think you'll want it to work ) and see if black smoke comes out of the exhaust when you stomp on the accelerator.Check the oil to see if it's clean or has particles in it. Check for leaks under the car ( gas, oil, antifreeze, brake fluid ) and make sure the brakes come up after you hit them.















I wonder if the scrap value of the car isn't a significant fraction of $350 ( that's a reason to BUY the car ) so you might have some protection should things go badly. Figure that the cost of driving a car is about $0.30/mile and you'll only have to make it last 1200 miles to get a decent deal. Anything over that is gravy ( and if you check the short-term things like tires, wiper blades and other things ) you should make that.































Also, if you do need repairs or parts make sure you get replacements from a junkyard since there's no reason to have your replacement parts be newer than the rest of the car.
