Once my Honda wouldn't start and it was out of water. Another time it was out of oil. Easy fixes. Another time had to get some part changed out on it.

I doubt Ur experiencing this today (10/5/2008) but for anyone in the future or you for that matter here you go.

I can tell you that i'm 99.9% sure it's the Distributor. Honda's usually all have the same patterns of causing problems and once u experience something ur self u can help others. my car about 8 months ago would not start when i would park the car. As the days and weeks went by it started getting worse and i was told it was only gonna get worse but i didn't do anything about it. My car would turn off in the middle of driving and sometimes turn on quickly other times i'm sitting there for about an hour waiting for it to turn on and it did. Finally it got to the point where an hour went by and the car didn't start and i ended up having to tow my car home. So my dad checked it out we did basic tune ups like changing spark plugs, changed distributor cap, and igntion coil. So the cheap stuff was replaced and nothing. only thing left was the distributor. We got a screwdriver stuck it into one end of the spark plug cable that connects to the distributor cap and saw that electricity was fine there so it must be the distributor itself which was the most expensive part of them all. So we had my dad's neighbor who's a good friend of his and a mechanic come give us a second opinion and he told us that he knew for a fact that it was the disctributor. So we went and got a refurbished one put it on there and the car turned on. So i'm gonna say it's the distrbutor. U should get a second opinion from someone else but i'm pretty sure that's what it is.

This also happen to a friend of mine that i sold my 97 Accord to, who experienced the same problems right after i changed the distributor i told him it's the distributor and he told me i was right.

Always check the cheap stuff first like Fuel Filter, spark plugs, distributor cap, ignition coil, battery, etc... so u don't spend the big bucks first and at the same time u get new parts.
