Ok, yesterday my engine light up...I took it to a mechanic ..he plug in some device and said everything should be fine but the light came back on. I have a 04 CRV. What could be wrong?

the service soon light its nothing it will come up for anything mostly pollution control b.s but ya nothing but better be safe then sorry take it in again

It can be a periodical error i.e. a lose connection or the likes. you can turn the light off by reseting your cars computer....take of both battery poles and hold them together, this drains the power from the condensators in the ECU (electonic computing unit) and will reset all error codes that is stored in the computer. reconnect the battery and take a long drive minimum 20 minutes this help the computer register all the data it needs again so it will run as normal.















At first it might have trouble in idle but ignore that it will pass during the drive.















If the light comes back on you do have an error in you engine management system, most of the time it is an intake air sensor or the lamda probe in the exhaust system that breaks but you will need to go to Honda or another qualified mechanic to make sure.
