Default Which head combo is best with my B18c1?

I have a 2000 B18c1 GSR engine and I also have a JDM B16a2 Head, ITM and JDM combo...

Lots of guys are touting the B16a2 head and B18c1 combo.

Which head, cam and ITM is best in the quarter mile?

Serious reply's only please.

Other site's seem to have some total uneducated jokers on them.

Please advise.

ED

Default Head Combo

Hey,
I've seen several head combo's in the past (B16a head w/ B18c blocks etc.) & I would suggest you just keep your set up the way it is, I'm assuming you have a complete gsr B18c1 engine block & head. The best bet is to just work on the vtec head you already have by porting & polishing it and upgrading it with oversized valves, valve springs, and retainers.

I hope this helps!

My thought, exactly.

That's the direction I am heading.

Well, that and a Hondata S300 or AEM EMS system, added on...

Thank you.

Yeah, you wouldn't gain much and it would just cause headaches considering you already have a full GSR motor.

I take it your going all motor? What's the setup you got planned for it?!

AEM EMS is lightyears ahead of s300... and s300 is the best you can get for hondas!!!

Default Doh-eee-oo, Eiyooo- O!

Naahhh... not exactly. I like the torque possabilities, so i will prolly put in a new set of pistons, rods and a cooled supercharger for aspiration...but yeah, mostly bolt-on's (370 cc RC Fuel injectors, 70 mm TB, AEM fuel rail, manual adjust fuel pressure regulator, Walpro Fuel pump)...that would all be managed by the AEM EMS... I saw one up in SEATTLE for $550!!!!

That is sooo DOPE!

No Turbo or Nitrous, however... I'm not that extreme, plus, I don't want to wear out my GSR too fast.

I'm not looking to make a living racing, but I just like the pep.
