Hondas typically hold their value longer than Chevys. They have a reputation of lasting forever.

Personally I would choose the Honda Civic. Only because I heard that they last for a long time. That they really don't need to be fixed all the time.

They are both good vehicles don't listen to all these people that say they heard this and that most of them are full of crap. The Cobalt SS supercharged is 205HP.

In my personal opinion, the Cobalt looks better. It's not as dull and common as a Civic. Plus, it's slightly cheaper. But with the Civic, you'll get amazing reliability. And that matters more than looks in the long run. Here's a comparison: http://autos.msn.com/research/compar...06056&v=m12755

if your just looking for a car to drive get the honda. honda's cost less to maintain than any gm, i know i manage a parts store. i sell more parts for a gm in a day than i do for any import in 3 days. everyone else already touched base on reliablility, comparing the 2,etc, etc. just thought i would throw in you should be concidering how much it will cost you to maintain either of the vehicles
