Default how does an msd ignition improve horsepower and torque?

my friend is thinking about buying an msd ignition and he isnt sure how much horsepower and torque it gives. im just curious how it works. thanks for the answers

An MSD works by supplying multiple sparks to a cylinder. Theoretically, by providing more than one spark, there is a greater chance for complete combustion of the air/fuel mixture in the cylinder.































However, unless there have been some fairly extensive modifications made to the vehicle, the average driver will not see a noticeable improvement in performance.
